AT&T Stadium Rules

The AT&T Stadium has a guest policy in line with Federal laws, intended to help maintain the safety and security of all guests and performers. Please read through and familiarize yourself thoroughly with the following rules and regulations prior to your arrival at the AT&T Stadium.

AT&T Stadium maintains specific rules designed to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all guests. Understanding these regulations before you arrive will help you prepare properly and avoid any issues at entry gates. The stadium staff actively enforces these policies, so compliance is essential for a smooth experience.

Clear Bag Policy

The clear bag policy represents one of the most crucial rules you need to know. You can only bring clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC 12-by-6-by-12-inch bags into the stadium. Small clutch bags no bigger than 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches are also permitted and do not need to be clear.

One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags work perfectly for carrying personal items and meet the policy requirements. Medical bags and diaper bags receive exceptions but must undergo inspection at designated gates. The venue does not offer bag check services, so you must leave prohibited items in your vehicle or make other arrangements before arriving.

Prohibited bags include:

  • » Backpacks and large purses
  • » Briefcases and camera bags
  • » Cinch bags and computer bags
  • » Coolers and fanny packs
  • » Luggage of any kind

During Cowboys games, The Mobile Locker Company provides secure storage areas in Silver Lot 5 and Blue Lot 9 for a fee if you need to store non-compliant bags.

Camera and Photography Rules

Camera policies allow compact cameras that don’t interfere with other guests’ enjoyment of the event. You can bring small point-and-shoot cameras and smartphone cameras. However, video cameras, tripods, monopods, selfie sticks, and cameras with lenses longer than 3 inches face prohibition.

Professional photography equipment cannot enter the venue unless you possess proper media credentials. These restrictions help maintain clear sightlines and prevent obstructions during events.

Signs and Banners

Signs, banners, and flags must follow specific guidelines if you want to bring them into the stadium. Your sign must relate to the event, display good taste, and avoid commercial, political, or obscene content. You must hold the sign by hand; one person should be able to carry it without assistance.

Signs cannot obstruct other guests’ views or attach to stadium structures. You cannot use poles, sticks, wood, metal, or electronic components in sign construction. Management reserves the right to confiscate signs that violate these policies.

Smoking and Vaping

Guests can’t smoke in any area of AT&T Stadium in accordance with City of Arlington regulations. This regulation includes traditional cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, and vaping devices. You must exit the stadium completely if you need to smoke, and you will need to go through security screening again to re-enter.

The no-smoking policy applies to all indoor and outdoor areas within the stadium’s secured perimeter.

Alcohol and Food Policies

Alcohol policies strictly prohibit guests from bringing any alcoholic beverages into the stadium. Security personnel will confiscate outside alcohol at entry points. You can purchase beer, wine, and cocktails from numerous bars and concession stands throughout the venue if you are 21 or older with valid identification.

The stadium offers $5 beers at select locations during certain events. Alcohol sales typically end at the start of the fourth quarter for football games or at designated times for other events. Food and beverage rules allow you to bring one factory-sealed plastic water bottle up to one liter into the stadium.

Prohibited Items

Guests cannot bring items that someone could use as weapons or cause disruptions. This list includes:

  • » Fireworks
  • » Pyrotechnic
  • » Smoke devices
  • » Laser pointers
  • » Air horns
  • » Whistles
  • » Drones

Hard-sided coolers cannot enter, even if they meet size requirements. Seat cushions are not allowed. Any item that security personnel deem potentially dangerous or disruptive will be denied entry by security or staff.

Dress Code and Children

Guests must be dressed appropriately at all times. While the stadium permits costumes for specific events, they cannot replicate event personnel uniforms or be offensive. Masks are allowed as long as they don’t violate public decency standards.

Body paint is generally acceptable, but it cannot damage stadium property or furniture. Children of all ages are welcome at AT&T Stadium events. The stadium offers free ID bracelets through the Safe-in-the-Seat Program at Guest Services Centers, where you can write your seat location to help reunite separated family members.
